Moravian Closes 2021 Regular Season with Win at Elizabethtown College

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's tennis squad posted a 6-3 victory at Elizabethtown College in Landmark Conference action Sunday to close out the 2021 regular season.

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds led 2-1 after doubles action with sophomores Justin Szaro and Kieran Pisani starting the match with an 8-1 win at first doubles. Seniors Mason Hudnall and Sean Kearns posted an 8-7 (7-5) victory at third doubles to send the Blue and Grey to singles with the advantage
  • The Blue Jays won the first singles match off the courts before a 6-3, 6-2 win by Hudnall at third singles has Moravian in the lead for good. Sophomore Andrew Hozza earned a 6-1, 6-4 victory at fourth singles for a 4-2 lead while freshman Steve Schneider clinched the team point with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph at fifth singles. Szaro earned the Hounds final point with a 6-7 (4-7), 6-3, 6-4 victory at first singles
