Moravian Men Head to Goucher for Landmark Conference Semifinal on May 1

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The fourth seed Moravian University men's tennis team will travel to top seed Goucher College for a semifinals match in the 2025 Landmark Conference Tournament with action slated to begin at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1 at the Twin Lakes Racquet Club in Baltimore.

The Greyhounds have posted a 13-7 mark on the year, and the Blue & Grey were 6-3 in the Landmark regular season. Moravian is making its third straight and fourth appearance in the Landmark Conference Tournament since 2021. The Hounds and the Gophers met on March 26 in Timothy Breidegam Fieldhouse with Goucher winning 5-2.

Fourth-year Director of Tennis Mariana Freitas has guided the Hounds to a 54-25 mark since taking over the program.

Sophomore Gavin Labbadia leads Moravian with a 14-2 singles record while junior Ryan Burke has a 15-4 slate. Freshman Roman Farhad has posted a 12-4 singles mark while freshman Joey Kelly is 11-3 on the year. Senior Wyatt Marshall has registered a 5-8 singles record while freshman Max Goldenberg is 6-0 and sophomore Garrett Morris is 4-0 on the year. Junior Matthew Labosky has posted a 4-2 mark while senior Ronny Pimentel Ferrer is 4-12.

The tandem of Labbadia and Kelly is 10-5 in doubles action while Pimentel Ferrer and Marshall are 6-8 the duos of. The tandem of Farhad and Kelly have a 2-0 mark while Burke and Farhad are 2-1 on the year. The duos of Burke and Kelly, Burke and Labosky and Goldenberg and senior Zachary Lebby are each 1-0 while Labosky and Pimentel Ferrer have a 1-2 slate.

Moravian defeated fifth seed Susquehanna University, 4-0, in the First Round to advance to the Semifinals while third seeded Drew University posted a 4-0 win over sixth seed Juniata College to move on to face second seed The Catholic University of America in Thursday's other Semifinal.

The two winning teams on Thursday will advance to the 2025 Landmark Conference Championship match on Saturday, May 3 at the Central Pennsylvania Tennis Center in Williamsport to determine the conference's automatic berth to the 2025 NCAA Division III Tournament.
