TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University freshman Gabby Blasko has been honored as the Landmark Conference Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
Blasko took first in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:37.12 to help the Greyhounds to a 74-72 win at Lycoming College to close out the regular season. Blasko also finished first in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:12.16 and the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:18.48.
"We are very happy for Gabby in receiving the honor of Landmark Swimmer of the Week," noted Director of Swimming Matt Easterday. "She was instrumental in our ability to pull off a win against Lycoming with two of our women out sick. I look forward to seeing what she accomplishes in a few weeks at the Landmark Championships!"
The Greyhounds are slated to return to the pool on Thursday, February 13 for the opening session of the 2025 Landmark Conference Championships at the Loyola (Md.) University Mangione Aquatic Center.
