Anthony Nagy selected as Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College freshman midfielder Anthony Nagy has been selected as the Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Nagy scored a goal in both of Moravian's matches in a 1-0-1 week for the Greyhounds. He had the first goal in a 2-2, double-overtime draw at Stockton University on Wednesday before netting the tying goal in a 2-1 victory at Juniata College to begin the 2018 Landmark Conference season. Nagy took three shots on the week, and both that were on goal found the back of the net.

"Anthony has provided us a spark in the midfield," stated Head Coach Bob Wilkinson. "He is very active and good with ball at his feet. He can beat you on this dribble and is an equally good passer. He has scored some important goals for us so far. He works hard in practice and carries that onto the field. He is a pleasure to coach."Moravian is slated to return to action on Saturday, September 29 when the squad hosts Susquehanna University in a Landmark Conference match beginning at 1:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
