TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College sophomore forward Alec Aloia has been selected as the Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Aloia send the Greyhounds to the Landmark Conference Tournament for the first time in program history when he found the net in the 97th minute Saturday to lift the Hounds to a 1-0 overtime win at Goucher College in a rain storm. The tally was Aloia's sixth of the season and gave Moravian its first conference tournament appearance since 2003.

"We're happy to have Alec named as the Offensive Player of the Week," stated first-year Head Coach Bob Wilkinson. "He works very hard and plays with a lot of passion. We needed somebody to make a play in overtime and Alec's memorable strike secured our spot in the playoffs."

The fourth seeded Greyhounds will head to top seed Elizabethtown College for a Landmark Conference Semifinal contest on Wednesday, October 31 beginning at 7:00 p.m.
