Volleyball Sweeps Second Day at Buttermaker Tournament

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Moravian College volleyball team defeated King's College, 3-0, in the first game on the day at the Buttermaker Tournament. The Greyhounds then took down DeSales University, 3-0, in the second game of the day. Junior setter Kelly Brown was named to the Buttermaker All-Tournament Team.

Moravian defeated the Monarchs in three games by scores of 25-11, 25-13, and 25-11. Brown put up 26 assists and two kills in this match while senior libero Jesse Krasley totaled 16 digs and one ace. Sophomore outside hitter Kelianne Comitalo had five kills and three aces while junior middle blocker Brittany O'Hara tallied up three blocks and two kills.

Senior right-side hitter Samantha Savite finished with five kills. Senior outside hitter JeanAnne Carey, junior right-side hitter Katelyn Strohl and freshmen outside hitter Lauren Hostetler and middle blocker Victoria Bobyak all finished with four kills each.

Moravian defeated the Bulldogs in three sets by scores of 25-21, 25-18 and 25-22.

The Greyhounds return to action on Friday, September 14th as they host the Old Friends Crossover. Moravian will take on Elizabethtown College at 6:30 p.m. and Messiah College at 8:30 p.m.
