Volleyball Defeats Conference Foe Susquehanna, 3-1

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Moravian College volleyball team defeated Landmark Conference foe Susquehanna University, 3-1, Saturday afternoon. The Greyhounds won by scores of 26-24, 24-26, 25-14 and 25-21.

Moravian was led by senior right-side hitter Samantha Savite, who had a game-high 19 kills to go with her eight digs, three blocks and two service aces. Junior setter Kelly Brown tallied up 41 assists, 13 digs and two aces while senior libero Jesse Krasley had 26 digs, three assists and two aces.

Sophomore outside hitter Taylor Jennings finished with ten kills for the Hounds while junior middle blocker Brittany O'Hara had five blocks and six kills. Freshman outside hitter Lauren Hostetler had nine kills and nine digs while freshman middle blocker Victoria Bobyak had six kills and two blocks.

The Crusaders were led by senior outside hitter Emily Carson, who had 15 kills, 12 digs, eight assists and three blocks. Sophomore setter Julia Caruso tallied up 18 assists and five digs while freshman defensive specialists Sarah Paluck and senior Dana Kreutzer each had 19 digs.

The Greyhounds return to action tomorrow, October 14th as they take on The Catholic University of America and The University of Scranton. The matches are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
