Volleyball Edges Out DeSales, 3-1

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Moravian College women's volleyball team defeated DeSales University, 3-1, Thursday night. The Greyhounds won by set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 24-26 and 28-26.

Sophomore setter Kelly Brown led the way with 49 assists, 16 digs and three kills. Senior right-side hitter Samantha Savite put up 14 kills, 13 digs and three blocks while sophomore outside hitter Taylor Jennings had 14 kills and seven digs.

Junior libero Jesse Krasley tallied 24 digs, five service aces and three assists while freshman outside hitter Lauren Hostetler had 11 kills and 13 digs. Freshman middle blocker Victoria Bobyak had nine kills and two blocks while junior middle blocker Brittany O'Hara had seven blocks and six kills.

Junior right-side hitter Emilie Baker led the Bulldogs with 13 kills and ten digs. Sophomore libero Amanda Wallitsch had 32 digs and an ace while classmate setter Brooke Horrigan had 40 assists, 11 digs and three b locks.

Moravian returns to action on Saturday, October 20th as they travel to Lycoming College for a tri match. The Greyhounds will take on Lycoming College at 11 a.m. and Marymount (Va.) University at 1 p.m.
