Four Greyhounds Earn All-Conference Honors; Krasley & Bobyak Garner Major Awards

TOWSON, Md. --- Four members of the Moravian College women's volleyball squad have been named to the 2012 Landmark All-Conference Teams announced Wednesday with senior libero Jesse Krasley (Allentown, Pa./Parkland HS) earning Specialist of the Year honors and freshman middle blocker Victoria Bobyak (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall HS) taking home Rookie of the Year accolades.

Krasley was also named to the All-Conference First Team while Bobyak, senior right side hitter Samantha Savite (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central HS) and junior setter Kelly Brown (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic HS) all earned spots on the All-Conference Second Team. 

Krasley, who earned Landmark All-Conference honors for the third time in her career after being on the Second Team in 2010 and 2011, owns every Moravian school record in digs including a career total of 2,454 while playing in a school record 495 sets in her career.  This fall, Krasley leads the Greyhounds with 706 digs, second only to her school record of 803 a year ago, and she has also added 122 assists and 42 service aces in 2012.

Bobyak is second on the squad with a .220 hitting percentage this season, and she is also third on the team with 242 kills and 63 blocks in her debut campaign.

Savite, who earned All-Conference accolades for third time in her career as well after earning spots on the First Team in 2010 and 2011, leads the Moravian squad with 386 kills and a 249 hitting percentage, and she has added 35 service aces and 142 digs.  Savite is fifth in school history with 1,237 kills, and she is fifth in blocks with 251 and fifth in sets played at 464.

Brown, who make the Landmark All-Conference Second Team for the second consecutive year, has posted a team high 1,221 assists this fall, her second straight 1,000 assist season, and she has added 421 digs, 82 kills, 29 blocks and 29 service aces for the Greyhounds.

Moravian, which is 27-8 on the season to tie the school record for wins in a season, will return to action on Wednesday, November 7th when the second seeded Greyhounds host seventh seed Penn State-Abington in the quarterfinals of the 2012 ECAC Division III South Tournament in Johnston Hall at 7:00 p.m.
