Volleyball Sweeps Tri-Match at Lycoming

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Moravian College volleyball team swept its tri-match at Lycoming College on Saturday afternoon. The Greyhounds defeated the Warriors in the first game, 3-0, and dropped the Saints, 3-1.

Moravian defeated Lycoming by set scores of 25-8, 25-20 and 25-17. Senior right-side hitter Samantha Savite led the way with 18 kills and three service aces. Sophomore setter Kelly Brown tallied up 28 assists and 14 digs while senior libero Jesse Krasley had 11 digs, seven assists and two aces.

Sophomore outside hitter Taylor Jennings had eight kills while freshman outside hitter Lauren Hostetler had six kills and seven digs in the match.

In the second match of the day, the Greyhounds dropped Marymount by set scores of 23-25, 25-16, 25-19 and 27-25. Savite tallied up 13 kills and seven digs in the contest while Hostetler finished with 11 kills and 11 digs. Brown added 48 assists, 14 digs, three blokcs and three kills while Krasley had 22 digs.

Jennings and junior middle blocker Brittany O'Hara both had ten kills and two blocks while freshman middle blocker Victoria Bobyak had eight kills and three blocks.

The Greyhounds return to action on Wednesday, October 24th as they host rival Muhlenberg College. The match is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Johnston Hall.
