Moravian Adds Umstead & Hibbs to Field Hockey Coaching Staff

Assistant Field Hockey Coaches Casey Umstead and Jaclyn Hibbs

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College field hockey team has added Casey Umstead and Jaclyn Hibbs as assistant coaches.

"We are extremely excited to announce the addition of Casey and Jackie to the field hockey coaching staff at Moravian," stated Head Coach Sarah Dalrymple, who was named to lead the program back in February. "They have both experienced high levels of success in their playing careers and we know that with their hockey knowledge and enthusiasm they will have an immediate impact on the program."

Umstead been part of the United States Women's National Team program since 2012 when she joined the Junior Indoor Team. Umstead was named to the National Team in January, and she has 30 Caps internationally. Umstead, who graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2018, was a two-time All-American for the Huskies including a First Team honor in 2017 while helping UConn to the NCAA Division I National Championship. A three-time All-Big East and All-Mideast Region selection, Umstead was honored as the 2017 Big East Defensive Player of the Year.

Hibbs comes to Moravian after two seasons as an assistant coach at Lafayette College. She was also an assistant coach at Eastern University where she was responsible for working with the defensive unit and goalies. Hibbs was a four-year starter on defense for the University of Albany where she graduated in 2017. She was a member of two America East Conference championships, as well as a NCAA Division I Final Four appearance in 2014. Hibbs was also a member of the U21 National Team in 2015, and she also coaches FSC Field Hockey Club in Hatfield, Pennsylvania.
