Hounds Sweep Cairn to Begin 2019-20 Slate

LANGHORNE, PA. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team defeated Cairn University, 9-0, in non-conference action on the road to begin the 2019-20 season Saturday afternoon.

The Greyhounds would sweep the doubles with the tandem of senior Christopher Csencsits and freshman Justin Szaro winning 8-2 at first doubles and the dup of freshmen Adrian Condes and Kieran Pisani posting an 8-0 win at second doubles. The Hounds won at third doubles by default.

The Blue and Grey also swept the four pro-sets played in singles after getting two points by default at fifth and sixth singles. Condes earned an 8-2 victory at first singles while Szaro had an 8-0 triumph at second singles. Sophomore Neil Guarino recorded an 8-1 win at third singles while freshman Andrew Hozza had an 8-0 victory at fourth singles.

Moravian is slated to return to action on Saturday, September 21 when the squad hosts Misericordia University in a non-conference match beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Hoffman Courts.
