BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's tennis squad won its fifth consecutive match with an 8-1 victory over visiting Immaculata University in non-conference action at Hoffman Courts Friday.
How It Happened
- The Hounds swept through the doubles action to take a 3-0 lead. The tandem of sophomore Ryan Burke and freshman Gavin Labbadia opened the contest with an 8-0 win at third doubles while juniors Wyatt Marshall and Ronny Pimentel Ferrer made it 2-0 with an 8-3 triumph at first doubles. Junior Zachary Lebby and sophomore Matthew Labosky completed the sweep with an 8-4 win at second doubles
- Moravian captured five of the six singles matches with Labbadia beginning singles with a 6-0, 6-3 victory at third singles. Pimentel Ferrer earned the winning team point with a 6-4, 6-4 triumph at second singles while senior Steve Schneider pushed the advantage to 6-1 with a 6-0, 6-0 win at sixth singles. Freshman Garrett Morris recorded a 6-2, 6-0 victory at fifth singles while Burke finished off the match with a 6-2, 6-1 win at fourth singles
