BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's tennis team won its 12th consecutive match with a 9-0 sweep of visiting Susquehanna University in Landmark Conference action at Hoffman Courts Saturday.
How It Happened
- The Hounds took all three doubles contests for a 3-0 edge. The tandem of junior Anthony Ronca and sophomore Shayaan Farhad were first off the courts with an 8-2 victory at first doubles while the duo of sophomore Ryan Burke and freshman Gavin Labbadia posted an 8-3 triumph at third doubles. Juniors Wyatt Marshall and Ronny Pimentel Ferrer needed a tiebreaker at second doubles, winning 8-7 (7-5)
- Moravian took all six singles contests in straight sets with Farhad earning the first win at first singles. Marshall captured the winning team point with a triumph at third singles while Ronca captured a victory at second singles. Pimentel Ferrer won at fourth singles while Labbadia posted a triumph at fifth singles and Burke closed the match with a win at sixth singles
- Prior to the match, Burke received the Merr Trumbore Award for dedication and commitment to the Moravian Tennis Program
