Lovett Named to College Sports Communicators Women’s Swimming & Diving Academic All-District

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University senior Catie Lovett has been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's Swimming & Diving Team for NCAA Division III schools.

To be eligible for CSC Academic All-America® honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.50 grade-point average, be a sophomore, junior or senior and be a starter or significant reserve that has swam in at least five competitions or finished in the top eight in an event at the conference championships in 2024-25. Moravian has had 56 Greyhounds named CSC Academic All-Americans®.

Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. The CSC Academic All-America® teams will be announced Tuesday, April 22 for women's swimming and diving.

Lovett, a nursing major with a 3.93 GPA, competes in three sports at Moravian as she runs cross country and track in addition to swimming. This past winter, Lovett set four individual and three relays school records for the Greyhounds while competing in the 2025 Landmark Conference Championships. She became the first swimmer in program history to make the "A" final in an event at the conference meet, placing eighth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.21 seconds after a school record time of 25.31 in the preliminaries. Lovett also made the "B" final in the 100-yard backstroke, placing 12th with a school record time of 1:02.98, and she took 12th in the "B" final of the 100-yard freestyle in 56.18 seconds after a school record of 55.76 seconds in the prelims. Lovett was part of record setting times in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:57.87), 400-yard medley relay (4:32.16) and 200-yard medley relay (2:01.45) while setting the program mark in the 50-yard backstroke to open the relay in 29.27 seconds.

In her swimming career, Lovett has set six individual and four relay school records at Moravian. On the cross country course, Lovett was 50th in the 2023 Landmark Conference Championship as the Greyhounds finished as the runner-up in the team standings. On the track, she has competed in the 800-meter and 1,500-meter runs.

Outside of competing in three sports, Lovett is a member of the Student Nurses Association, Habitat for Humanity, the Psychology Club and Moravian's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She also works in the Registrar's Office and as a lifeguard. Lovett is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma and Tri Beta Honor Societies, the Student Comenius Society and a Student Alumni Representative.

Lovett is a seven-time member of the Moravian University Dean's Honors List, a six-time member of the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll, a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America honoree and the first recipient of the Anna Nitschmann Scholarship.
