TOWSON, Md. --- The 2018-19 Moravian College women's indoor track and field team has been selected first in the Landmark Conference preseason poll as chosen by the Landmark coaches.

The Hounds return 28 competitors from last winter's Landmark Conference Championship team as well as bringing in 10 new student-athletes. The Greyhounds had a total of 60 points, 15 more than Elizabethtown College, and the Blue and Grey collected six first-place votes. Moravian is looking to repeat as the Landmark Conference Indoor Champions after returning to the top of the podium in 2018, and the program has captured 10 of 11 possible Landmark Conference Indoor titles.

Head Coach Jesse Baumann begins his eighth season with a strong group of returners that includes seven student-athletes that earned All-Conference honors last February. Senior Amari Schooler looks to be a four-year winner in the 60-meter hurdles and is joined by returning All-Conference honorees seniors Anna Osman and Jordan Luciano, junior Carly Danoski and sophomores Jenevieve Eberly, Tatiana Lopez and Camaryn Wheeler.

"It's nice to be selected by our peers to win, but ultimately it doesn't matter to me or the team," stated Baumann. "We still need to work hard through the winter break, stay healthy, and show up in February. The women have been looking pretty strong thus far in our fall training for our non-distance runners. Early testing has been encouraging with our sprinters and jumpers. We have really strong depth in the hurdles and jumps, and we should be pretty competitive across all distance races too, so I am encouraged heading into our first meets these next two weeks."

Moravian is slated to start the season at Lehigh University Opener on Saturday, December 1.
