Women's Volleyball Names Captains for 2012 Campaign

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian College has named senior Jesse Krasley (Allentown, Pa./Parkland HS) and juniors Kelly Brown (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic HS) and Brittany O'Hara (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge HS) as captains of the women's volleyball team for the 2012 season.

Krasley is entering her fourth year on the team as a libero, and she returns after earned America Volleyball Coaches Association Honorable Mention All-America honors last season.  Krasley set the school record with 803 digs last season, and she also owns the career record with 1,748 digs.  Krasley, a member of the Landmark All-Conference Second Team and the AVCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team last year, has played in 368 sets in 103 matches in her career with 95 service aces, 215 assists, 144 kills and 23 blocks.

Brown in her third season with the Greyhounds and her second season as the squad's starting setter.  Last year, Brown earned Landmark All-Conference Second Team accolades after a season that included 1,110 assists, 39 service aces, 413 digs and 81 kills.  In her 63 career matches, Brown has 1,194 assists, 293 kills, 749 digs, 66 service aces and 32 blocks.

O'Hara returns as a middle blocker for her third season at Moravian.  O'Hara has played in 64 career matches with 229 kills, 141 blocks, 19 digs and ten assists.  Last fall, O'Hara earned a spot on the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.

The Greyhounds began their 2012 preseason on Saturday, August 18th, and Moravian opens the regular season on Friday, August 31st when the squad hosts the opening day of the 10th Annual Greyhound Premiere Tournament with matches versus King's College at 4:00 p.m. and Wesley (Del.) College at 8:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.
