Brown Named Landmark Women's Volleyball Player of the Week

TOWSON, Md. – Junior setter Kelly Brown (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic HS) of the Moravian College volleyball team has named the Landmark Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of October 8th.

Brown helped the Greyhounds go 2-0 over the weekend with 3-1 victories over Gettysburg College and Swarthmore College. Brown put up 92 assists in the two games to go with 35 digs, ten kills, five blocks and one service ace.

With the 35 digs over the weekend, Brown eclipsed the 1,000 career dig mark, becoming the 11th player in school history with 1,000 career digs. Brown is the third player in school history to have 1,000 career assists and digs with 1,900 assists and 1,006 digs.

On the season, Brown's 716 assists, 257 digs, 46 kills, 19 blocks and 18 aces have helped Moravian to a 17-4 overall record.

The Greyhounds are back in action on Thursday, October 11th as they host Cedar Crest College. The match is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.
