Volleyball Remains 6th in Mid-Atlantic Region

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The Moravian College women's volleyball team is ranked sixth in the Mid-Atlantic Region for a third consecutive week in the third and final NCAA Division III Regional Rankings of the 2012 season released Thursday.

The Greyhounds have an overall record of 26-7 through matches of October 28th, and Moravian is 24-5 in-region matches, the main criteria for ranking teams.

Salisbury University is the top ranked team in the Mid-Atlantic Region followed by Stevenson University, Juniata College, Johns Hopkins University and Eastern University. Trailing Moravian in the poll are Messiah College and Gallaudet University. Three of the Greyhounds' seven losses this season are to Salisbury, Juniata and Eastern while Moravian has a victory over Messiah.

Moravian also has a victory over Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, the second ranked team in the New York Region and a loss to Christopher Newport University, the top ranked team in the South Region.

The Greyhounds return to action on Thursday, November 1st in the first round of the 2012 Landmark Conference Tournament as third seeded Moravian hosts sixth seed Goucher College in Johnston Hall at 7:00 p.m.
