Volleyball Improves to 5-0 after Defeating Cabrini, 3-1

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Moravian College volleyball team defeated Cabrini College, 3-1, Wednesday evening in Johnston Hall. The Greyhounds won by scores of 25-17, 25-15, 24-26, 25-22.

Senior right-side hitter Samantha Savite led the way for the Greyhounds with 17 kills, three service aces and two blocks. Junior setter Kelly Brown tallied up 40 assists, 12 digs and four kills while senior libero Jesse Krasley finished with 28 digs, three aces and three assists.

Freshman Lauren Hostetler put up ten kills, 11 digs and an ace while junior middle blocker Brittany O'Hara had seven kills and three blocks. Sophomore outside hitter Kelianne Comitalo tallied up seven kills, six digs, three aces and two blocks while freshman defensive specialist Michelle Ciccone finished with three aces, two digs and an assist.

The Cavaliers were led by freshman outside hitter Jen Grenauer, who had 11 kills and three blocks. Freshman setter Cassidy Koenig tallied up 24 assists, 11 digs and four kills while junior libero Sophia Sokolovich had 18 digs, two aces and two assists.

The Greyhounds return to action this weekend as they head to Muhlenberg College for the Buttermaker Tournament. Moravian takes on Salisbury University on Friday, September 7th at 3 p.m. and Neumann University at 5 p.m.
