Savite Gets 1,000th Kill in Victory Over PSU-Berks

READING, Pa. – Senior right-side hitter Samantha Savite recorded her 1,000th career kill as Moravian College defeated Penn State-Berks, 3-0. The Greyhounds won by scores of 25-22, 25-11 and 29-27.

Savite finished with 12 kills, three blocks and two service aces, and now has 1,011 career kills. Junior setter Kelly Brown tallied up 38 assists and 13 digs while senior libero Jesse Krasley had 23 digs and three assists. Sophomore outside hitter Taylor Jennings put up eight kills, four digs and a block while freshman middle blocker Victoria Bobyak had seven kills and two blocks.

The Nittany Lions was led by sophomore middle blocker Kayla Mosser, who had six kills. Freshman setter Abby Musselman tallied up 20 assists, 13 digs and two kills while classmate outside hitter Cassidy Schultz put up 14 digs, five kills and one block.

The Greyhounds return to action as they travel to Goucher College this weekend for the Landmark Conference Round Robin. Moravian will take on Juniata College and Goucher on September 29th while taking on The United States Merchant Marine Academy on September 30th.
