Men's Soccer Falls in Tough Match With Susquehanna

SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's soccer team lost a hard-fought battle to Susquehanna University Saturday afternoon in Landmark Conference play on the road by a final of 1-0.

The match started off fast with both teams racing up and down the field. Susquehanna scored first in the seventh minute. The Greyhounds would battle back finding a flurry of shots just a few minutes later. Freshman midfielder Rocky Fatuova would put a header on net only to have it saved. Shortly after that, senior midfielder Brett Harder blasted a shot on to net that was saved again. At the end of the first 45 minutes of play, the Hounds would have a 6-5 advantage in shots but the Crusaders would lead on the scoreboard 1-0.

The Blue and Grey would come firing out of the gates in the second half with Harder rifling a shot on net just 16 seconds into the final 45 minutes of action. The Hounds would also find good chances from freshman midfielder Chris Caso, freshman forward Jon Miller as they both put shots on net. The Hounds would again outshoot Susquehanna in the second half, 7-3, but could not find the back of the net.

In goal for Moravian was sophomore Bryan Yaskowski, who made two saves on the day.

Next up for the Greyhounds is a Landmark Conference match at The University of Scranton on Wednesday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m.
