Klaskin & McKinley Named 2016 Men's Soccer Captains

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's soccer team has named junior defender Corey Klaskin and senior midfielder Robert McKinley as captains for the 2016 season which begins Thursday afternoon at Cairn University.

Klaskin has started 35 of 36 career matches for the Greyhounds as a right back, and he has added three assists. He also took 16 corner kicks for Moravian in 2015.

"Corey is one of the hardest working players on the field," commented Head Coach Todd Ervin. "He has stepped into his leadership role seamlessly and is one of the loudest voices we have on the team. His ability to rally the players around what we are asking them to do has been phenomenal and I expect great things from him this season."

McKinley has played in 50 career matches for the Hounds with 36 starts over the last three seasons. McKinley has scored a pair of goals and added three assists in his career.

"Rob leads by example. His tireless work rate and ability to read the game has made him an integral part of the squad," stated Ervin. "He plays much bigger than he should have to and as such, is a core part of our midfield."

Moravian will play its first home match on the new John Makuvek Field on Wednesday, September 7 when the squad hosts Immaculata University at 7:30 p.m.
