Phillips Selected to NSCAA DIII Men's Soccer All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- Moravian College junior midfielder Connor Phillips has been selected to the 2016 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division III Men's Soccer All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team.

Phillips helped the Greyhounds to an 8-4-5 record this past fall with a berth in the 2016 ECAC Division III Tournament, the program's first postseason appearance since 2003.

Phillips, who was named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team, led Moravian in scoring this fall with eight goals and four assists for 20 points. He contributed two game-winning goals and converted on a pair of penalty kicks during the season. Phillips has 15 goals and eight assists for 38 points in his two years at Moravian, and he has four game-winning goals and four penalty kick goals in six attempts.

"Being named to the All-Region team is a fantastic accomplishment for Connor," noted Head Coach Todd Ervin. "He is a great player who had a very good year, and I feel that he absolutely deserved this. His drive to be the best, focus and leadership ability makes him a very dangerous player, and I will continue to expect great things from him in the future."

Phillips is the 11th Greyhound to earn NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors, and the first since Van Pham in 2000. Phillips is also one of eight student-athletes from the Landmark Conference to be named to the All-Mid-Atlantic Region Teams this fall.
