Phillips Named Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College junior midfielder Connor Phillips has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week for his performance over the last seven days.

Phillips netted a pair of goals and added two assists as the Greyhounds posted a 1-1 mark last week. He had an assist on the Hounds' only goal in a 2-1 loss at Centenary College. Phillips then scored twice including once on a penalty kick and added another assist in Moravian's 5-0 victory over Berkeley (N.J.) College on Saturday as the squad improved to 4-1 on the season.

"I think Connor is very deserving of being named the Landmark Conference Player of the Week," noted Head Coach Todd Ervin. "His performance this season has been fantastic and he continues to impress in each and every match. Hopefully we'll see his name up there a few more times this year."

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Monday, September 19 when the squad hosts regionally-ranked Montclair State University in a non-conference match beginning at 7:30 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
