Softball Slated to Take the Field on March 6, 2016

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College softball team looks to continue its run from last season in the upcoming 2016 season as the program aims for another Landmark Conference Championship and NCAA Tournament berth.

Following a ten-game spring break trip to the National Training Center in Clemont, Florida, the Hounds are home for a three doubleheaders. The first will be held on Tuesday, March 15 at 3:00 p.m. versus Neumann University. The Greyhounds will kick off the Landmark Conference season on Saturday, March 19 when the Catholic University of America comes to the Blue and Grey Field. The team will finish off their home stand with games against Ursinus College on Thursday, March 24 at 3:00 p.m.

The Hounds will take off for eight games including doubleheaders at the University of Scranton on March 26, Wilkes University on March 30, Elizabethtown College on April 2 and rival Muhlenberg College for the annual Matte Award Contest on April 7. Following the road trip, the Hounds will then stay at home for four doubleheaders. The first twin bill back for the Blue and Grey is Landmark Conference opponent Drew University on Saturday, April 9 at 1:00 p.m. The other three doubleheaders will be against DeSales University, Susquehanna University and Eastern University on April 12, 16 and 21. The Hounds will play their final doubleheader of the season at home on Sunday, May 1 versus Hunter College at 1:00 p.m.

The Landmark Conference Tournament will be played on May 6 and 7 at the highest seed with the Tournament Champion earning an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
