TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College sophomore Amanda Carisone has been selected as the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week.

Carisone helped the No. 19 Greyhounds to a 4-0 week including a sweep of the University of Scranton in Landmark Conference action. Carisone tossed a pair of shutouts, and allowed just five hits and two walks while striking out seven in 12 innings of action. Carisone is now 7-2 in the circle this season with a 2.35 ERA, two shutouts, a save and 48 strikeouts in 56.2 innings.

"Amanda had a good week especially being in control of her pitches around the plate to give up so few hits and walks during the two games," commented Head Coach John Byrne. "We'll need to continue to get performances like that from Amanda as the season progresses as we continue on the quest for another conference title."

Moravian, 15-3 overall and 3-1 in Landmark Conference play, is slated to return to action on Thursday, March 31 in a non-conference doubleheader at Wilkes University beginning at 3:00 p.m.
