TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior Josie Novak has been named the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week.

Novak tossed a pair of shutouts in Landmark Conference action in a 4-0 week for the No. 10 Greyhounds. She allowed just four hits and two walks over 12 innings to go with 12 strikeouts. Novak tossed a one-hit shutout with two walks and six strikeouts in a 7-0 win over Elizabethtown College. She then scattered three hits to go with six strikeouts and no walks in a 9-0, five inning win at Drew University, her 29th career shutout. Novak had two assists in the field in two chances during the week.

"Josie has been consistently good all season long," stated Head Coach John Byrne. "She had very good command of the strike zone this week and was able to keep the opposing hitters off balance. We're looking for her to continue her solid effort as we head into the final two weeks of the regular season and then the conference tournament."

The Greyhounds are slated to return to action on Tuesday, April 17 in a non-conference doubleheader versus Delaware Valley University beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Blue & Grey Field in Bethlehem.
