"Katie, a returning captain and First Team All-Conference player, is as good a leader as I have ever had at Moravian," stated Head Coach Mary Beth Spirk, who is entering her 27th season at the school just 13 wins shy of 500 for her career. "She is a worker who leads by example on and off the court. Katie will do whatever it takes for the good of the team. When Katie is on the court, she is an extension of the coaching staff. Katie knows how to win and instills that knowledge to the rest of her teammates."

Brogan, who will be in the starting line-up for the second consecutive year averaged 8.0 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest in 2012-13. She connected on a team-high 48 three-pointers a year ago and has 98 career three-pointers. Brogan has 452 points, 185 rebounds, 50 steals, 38 assists and 20 blocked shots in the first three years of her career.

"Danielle really worked hard over the summer to prepare herself for her senior year. She is focused and ready to break out and have a big year," Spirk said. "Danielle's work ethic is second to none and she has a maturity about her this year that will hopefully equate to a successful season The coaches have great confidence that Danielle and Katie, along with the other three seniors, Ericka Blair, Laura Jordan and Alyssa Hann, will lead the team to a productive and winning year."

The Greyhounds will begin their 2013-14 season on Friday, November 15 at the Southwestern (Texas) University Tip-Off Tournament as Moravian takes on Trinity (Texas) University at 7:00 p.m. Central.
