SPRINGFIELD, N.J. --- The Moravian College women's basketball team hosted its 3rd annual Pink Zone Clinic in conjunction with the Springfield Basketball Association at Jonathan Dayton High School in Springfield, New Jersey this past Sunday afternoon as part of Moravian's Play 4Kay week.

The Springfield Basketball Association raised an estimated $2,500 and will be donating the money to the Moravian women's basketball Play 4Kay initiative.

A group of parents formed a Springfield Pink Zone Committee to organize and run the event. Volunteers from the Springfield Basketball Association and the communityalso worked to put the event together, and enlist a few former Dayton players and current coaches to help.

Head Coach Mary Beth Spirk, Assistant Coach Sara Steinman and players sophomores Emily MacDonnell, Karlee Corvasce and Marie Rossignoli and freshmen Courtney Kruscavage and Cori Weiss made the trip to Springfield, New Jersey to provide instruction on the court. Both Steinman and MacDonnell graduated from Jonathan Dayton.

"It means a lot to be able to head back home and give back to the youth players of Springfield," MacDonnell said. "I love working with the kids and supporting a great cause with my current and former coaches and teammates."

The clinic was attended by over 80 boys and girls attending, high school players from Dayton High School helping and various coaches from Dayton.
