BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's lacrosse team begins its 2017 schedule on Saturday, February 25 in the squad's first-ever match on the new John Makuvek Field when the squad welcomes FDU-Florham for a non-conference match at 1:00 p.m.

Second-year Head Coach Kristen Nicholson returns 10 players from last year's squad that posted a 6-10 mark in the program's return to varsity status. The spring, Nicholson will guide the Greyhounds in their first Landmark Conference season since 2010.

The Hounds are set to host King's College in a non-conference game on March 1 at 4:00 p.m. before hitting the road for four matches and an exhibition. The trip begins at Hood College on March 4 before heading to Florida where Moravian will play Nihon University from Japan in an exhibition match on March 6 and NCAA Division II Shorter University on March 8. After returning home, the Greyhounds will make two trips to New York to play SUNY Purchase on March 14 and SUNY Old Westbury on March 18.

Moravian opens a four-match home stand at John Makuvek Field on Wednesday, March 22 versus Gwynedd Mercy University in the first of two night matches beginning at 7:00 p.m. The stretch also includes contests with DeSales University on March 25 at 1:00 p.m., Lancaster Bible College on March 29 at 7:00 p.m. and the Landmark Conference opener versus Susquehanna University on April1 at 1:00 p.m.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to player four of their final six matches on the road with the final two home contests slated for April 15 versus Drew University and April 22 versus The Catholic University of America with both Landmark Conference matches starting at 1:00 p.m.
