Schall Named Landmark Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of Week for 2nd Straight Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Senior midfielder/forward Kirsten Schall of the Moravian College women's soccer team has been selected as the Landmark Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for a second straight week as she continued her torrid scoring streak.

Schall helped the Greyhounds to a 2-0 record last week scoring three of the team's five goals in a pair of shutouts. Moravian has won four straight contests with Schall netting nine goals in those four games and finding the back of the next at least once in each match.

"Kirsten had another very productive week," commented first-year Head Coach Jeff Ykoruk. "Knowing her she would have wanted a few more, but she overcame some unlucky bounces and managed to put three in the back of the net."

Schall had the second goal in Moravian's 2-0 win over Bryn Mawr College last Thursday, and then she netted the first and last goals in a 3-0 victory versus Delaware Valley College on Saturday.

Schall has climbed to fifth in the Moravian record books with 29 goals in her career and she is fourth in career points with 75 and tied for fourth in assists with 17.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, September 24 in a non-conference match at DeSales University beginning at 4:00 p.m. in Center Valley.
