Greyhounds Tab LaFronz, Margiotiello & Miklas as Women's Soccer Captains

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's soccer team has tabbed seniors forward Hannah LaFronz, forward Valentina Margiottiello and defender Christine Miklas as captains for the 2016 season which begins Thursday evening versus Arcadia University on the new turf John Makuvek Field.

"Hannah, Valentina and Christine all bring different qualities to the table as captains," stated Head Coach Jeff Ykoruk. "Together they provide a lot of leadership and experience to a roster predominantly comprised of first and second year players. The three set a great example of what it takes to be successful in the classroom and represent our program very well in the social setting. They all played a very big role in helping our program reach the Landmark Conference playoffs and will hope to do the same this season."

LaFronz has played in 49 career matches with 12 starts over the last three season. She has contributed two goals and an assist for five points in her career. LaFronz is a two-time member of the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll.

Margiottiello has played in 50 career matches for the Hounds with 30 starts for the program. Margiottiello has netted five goals and five assists for a total of 15 career points.

Miklas has started all 55 matches in her career with six goals, all coming during her freshman season when she was named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team and the ECAC Division III South All-Star Second Team. Miklas made the Landmark All-Conference Second Team last fall.
