BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's soccer team scored three second half goals to pick up its third win of the season as the Greyhounds defeated the College of Mount St. Vincent, 3-1, in non-conference action on John Makuvek Field Saturday evening.

"I was very pleased with the quality of soccer we played tonight," commented Head Coach Jeff Ykoruk. "We need to put away opportunities earlier in a game and be more efficient on corners. We challenged our attacking players to be more dangerous tonight and they all played very well."

After the teams played a scoreless first half, the Greyhounds would score three straight goals in the second half beginning with the first career goal by freshman midfielder Juliana Caranci when she blasted a shot from the right side after taking a pass from junior forward Abby Guman in the 48th minute. Nine minutes later, the Hounds doubled their lead when sophomore forward Gabby Stelzmiller found the back of the net for the second time this season as she scored from the top of the six-yard box on a pass in from the left side by junior forward/midfielder Emily Crowley.

The Blue and Grey pushed the lead to 3-0 in the 74th minute when freshman forward Taylor Irr blasted a shot into the upper left corner of the net for her first collegiate goal. Moravian finished the match with a 28-4 advantage in shots as the Dolphins scored in the 78th minute.

Greyhounds' junior goalie Jessica Lawton made one save while playing the first half of the match while freshman Jamie Daly had one save in the second half.

Moravian is slated to return to action on Tuesday, September 20 in a non-conference match at Albright College starting at 7:30 p.m.
