Black, Fitzpatrick & Schall Named to Landmark Conference Women's Soccer All-Decade

TOWSON, Md. --- The 2016-17 season marks the 10th year anniversary for the Landmark Conference. To help celebrate, the Landmark is featuring individuals that have stood out over the past 10 years.

Athletes that were named All-Conference First Team a minimum of two times, and/or were named Landmark Player of the Year, during their career were nominated automatically, and each team had the opportunity to nominate additional individuals for consideration. The All-Decade team was selected by the membership and is being announced prior to the conference championship.

Tracy Fitzpatrick from the class of 2009, Eileen Black from the class of 2013 and Kirsten Schall from the class of 2015 have been selected to the Women's Soccer All-Decade Team.

Fitzpatrick was a member of Moravian's women's soccer team from 2005 through 2008 although she missed the entire 2006 season with an injury. She earned All-Landmark First Team honors in 2007 and 2008 and was named back-to-back Offensive Player of the Year (2007-2008). Fitzpatrick was a member of the women's soccer team that won the 2008 Landmark Women's Soccer Championship, and was named to the Academic Honor Roll team. Fitzpatrick played in 39 games for the Greyhounds, where she scored 25 goals and tallied 13 assists.

Black played for the Greyhounds from 2009 through 2012. She was named the 2012 Landmark Defensive Player of the Year, and was named the all-conference first team in 2010 and 2012, and the second team in 2011, and was named to Academic Honor Roll all three years she was eligible. Black played in 76 games for the Greyhounds where she scored 13 goals and had four assists.

"I was fortunate enough to have been able to coach against both players and they deserve this honor," stated Head Coach Jeff Ykoruk, who was the Head Coach at Ursinus College while the duo played for the Greyhounds. "Tracy was as explosive as a player that I have seen. She was strong, athletic and fast and was very hard to contain in the final third. I know she battled with an injury and would have posted even better numbers if that didn't hold her back. Eileen was the total package so size, athleticism and skill. She was probably as dominant a player as you get and she was very hard to match up with."

Schall was a member of Moravian's squad from 2011 until 2014, and she has helped as an assistant coach the last two seasons. She was named to the All-Landmark First Team in 2012 and 2014, and the Second Team in 2011 and 2013. Schall was a two-time Landmark Offensive Player of the Year (2012, 2014) and made the Academic Honor Roll team all three years she was eligible, while also earning the Landmark Senior Scholar Athlete award. Schall finished her career with 35 goals and 17 assists in 66 games for the Greyhounds. Her 35 goals rank fourth in the Landmark record books while her 17 assists ranks her seventh all-time in conference history.

"This is a great honor for Kirsten and it is well deserved," Ykoruk said. "She was everything you wanted in a player, student and person. She treated every game like it was her last and was by far the best goal scorer I have coached."
