TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian University baseball team had graduate student designated hitter Cole Cherkas named to the 2025 Landmark Baseball All-Conference First Team while freshman third baseman Troy Rabosky was selected to the Honorable Mention squad.
Cherkas, who repeated on the All-Conference First Team, hit .322 this spring with 39 hits, 30 runs, 14 doubles, a triple, nine homers to tie the single season school record, 34 walks and 28 RBIs. He also had a .678 slugging percentage and a .478 on-base percentage. Cherkas posted a .346 career batting average, which is tied for eighth in program history, to go with 137 hits, 71 runs, 34 doubles, three triples, 17 home runs, which ranks third in program history and 96 RBIs. Cherkas completed his career with a school record .576 slugging percentage to go with a .472 on-base percentage, which is second all-time.
"We're incredibly proud of Cole's outstanding 2025 season and the legacy he leaves at Moravian," commented Head Coach Douglas Coe. "His consistent leadership and ability to lead by example were instrumental to the team's growth throughout the year, and his First Team All-Conference honor is a well-deserved recognition of his hard work and dedication."
Rabosky recorded 36 hits, 34 runs, five doubles, seven homers to tie the program record for home runs in a season by a freshman, 33 RBIs, 30 walks, ten hit-by-pitches and eight stolen bases. Rabosky posted a .459 slugging percentage and a .425 on-base percentage to go with 26 putouts and 73 assists at third base.
"Troy made an impressive transition to third base as a freshman after switching positions in the fall," noted Coe. "We're proud of the hard work he put in, which earned him Honorable Mention All-Conference honors. He made significant strides at the plate this season, and we're excited to see his continued growth in the years ahead."
