LANCASTER, Pa. --- Six student-athletes of the Moravian College football team have been named to the 2019 Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll that includes 132 football players and a total of 676 student-athletes from the conference.

To be named to the Centennial Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and have a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher.

The Greyhounds had two seniors on the Academic Honor Roll –wide receiver Andrew Lelie and tight end/fullback Sal Pagano while juniors kicker/punter Brendan Morgans and defensive lineman PJ Weierbach and sophomores defensive lineman Jacob Kanyuk and offensive lineman Jaequan Swint also garnered spots on the Academic Honor Roll for the Greyhounds.

"This is a well-deserved recognition by this group by making the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll," commented Head Coach Jeff Pukszyn. "These six men have done an outstanding job balancing their academic schedules, along with putting in a good deal of time and dedication to the Moravian football program. I am very proud of their accomplishments as student-athletes and for the two seniors – Andrew and Sal – we wish them all the success in their future endeavors and thank them for their dedication to the football program for the last four years."

Lelie caught 15 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown this past fall while Pagano had two receptions for one yard while serving as a team captain for the second straight season. Morgans was 7-for-9 on extra-points, and he punted three times for an average of 53.7 yards with a long of 58 yards, one touchback and one inside the 20-yard line. Weierbach, who moved from offense to defense this year, had 22 tackles with three and a half for loss, one and a half sacks, a pass break-up, a fumble recovery and a blocked kick in just six games due to injury. Kanyuk had one tackle as a reserve on defense while Swint was a back-up on the offensive line.

The Greyhounds finished 4-6 overall and were tied for fifth in the Centennial Conference with a 4-5 mark.
