Greyhounds Finished 2nd at Franklin & Marshall Invitational

The Moravian College golf team placed second of 18 teams at the Franklin & Marshall College Invitational played at the Bent Creek Country Club Monday. The Greyhounds fired a team score of 306, finishing one stroke behind the Diplomats' Blue squad. Albright College and Messiah College tied for third with team totals of 313.

Greyhound junior Thomas Fenyak earned medalist honors with a one-over par round of 72, defeating Avery Jones from Albright College and George Whitelaw of Gettysburg College on a comparison of scorecards. Moravian had three players, seniors Sam Stires and Scott Stires and freshman Mark Saeger tie for 13th of the 89 golfers and all three Greyhounds carded rounds of 78. Senior John Dimler rounded out the Moravian golfers with an 18-hole total of 82, which tied him for 33rd place.
