Golfers Finish 2nd at Lebanon Valley Invitational

LEBANON, Pa. --- The Moravian College golf team finished second of 20 teams at the Lebanon Valley College Spring Invitational played at the Lebanon Country Club Monday.

The Greyhounds had a team score of 310, eight strokes behind champion Albright College, and one stroke ahead of third place Messiah College.

Senior John Dimler paced Moravian on the par 72 course as he carded a two-over par round of 74, his lowest round of the year over 11 total rounds. Dimler finished in a tie for fourth place of the 104 golfers in the tournament. Junior Thomas Fenyak was tied for seventh after a three-over par round of 75 while senior Sam Stires was tied for 22nd with an 18-hole total of 80. Senior Scott Stires turned in an 81 to tie for 28th while freshman Scott Nevenglosky rounded out the Moravian lineup with a 97, which tied him for 89th in the tournament.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Thursday, April 5 in the Elizabethtown College Spring Blue Jay Classic at the Hershey Country Club beginning at 12:00 p.m.
