TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University graduate student thrower Tim King has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

King won three events at the DeSales University Tri-Meet last Saturday. King broke the school and Landmark Conference records and won the discus with an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying toss of 46.65 meters (153-0). He also captured first in the hammer throw with a PR and AARTFC qualifying distance of 49.78 meters (163-4), the third best throw in program history, and King won the shot put with a toss of 14.28 meters (46-10.25).

"Tim has had an awesome outdoor season so far and he continued his momentum this past weekend at DeSales," noted throws coach Jon D'Ottavio. "He started out the meet by hitting a season best in the shot put, then threw a personal best in the hammer, and to finish his day bettered the school and Landmark record in the discus. Tim came into the outdoor season with some big goals, and he's cleared one of them by getting the school record in the discus. He continues to improve in practice and have fun with his final season as a Greyhound. I can't wait to see what he does the rest of the season."

The Hounds are scheduled to return to action on Friday and Saturday, April 19-20 as the team hosts the annual Coach Pollard Invitational at Timothy Breidegam Track with action beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Friday and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
