TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian University men’s outdoor track & field team has had 13 student-athletes earn 16 All-Conference honors from the Landmark Conference for their performances at the 2024 Landmark Outdoor Championships last weekend hosted by Elizabethtown College as the Greyhounds finished as the runner-up at the conference meet.

The Hounds had three student-athlete earn Landmark All-Conference First Team as conference champions in their events with graduate student Tim King taking first in the hammer throw and also being named as the Landmark Conference Men’s Field Performer of the Year after scoring 22 points in the meet.

“What a fantastic honor for Tim King to cap his career as a thrower in the Landmark Conference,” commented Throwing Coach Jon D’Ottavio. “We came into the weekend knowing he was going to be a big part of our team’s success but to come away with the Field Performer of the Year just shows how big Tim’s performances were. He won the hammer throw on his last throw of the meet and moved up the rankings steadily in the discus and shot put to capture the bronze medal in both events. He’s always been able to rise to the occasion and especially at championship meets. I am extremely proud of him, and he truly cements his legacy as one of the best to ever throw in a Moravian uniform. He still has a few goals left to cross off his list, but this award is special and one he will cherish.”

Also garnering First Team honors were sophomore Jerome Luckey for winning the high jump and junior Owen Nahf for capturing the 5,000-meter run.

Moravian had a pair of All-Conference Second Team honorees on the men’s side with senior Jeremy Goll finishing as the runner-up in the shot put and junior Nathan Hajel taking second in the 10,000-meter run.

With the expansion of the conference this year, third place finishers are named Honorable Mention All-Conference, and the Hounds had 11 honorees led by King in the shot put and the discus. The group also included the 4x100-meter relay team of juniors Trevor Gray and Owen Sabastro, sophomore Jacob Fenstermaker and freshman Javon McKay. Other third place winners were McKay in the 100-meter dash, senior Dan McNicholas in the hammer throw, graduate student Christian Jancsarics in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, sophomore Bryan Kerchner in the 1,500-meter run and senior Josh Mangini in the 10,000-meter run.
