Greyhounds Finish as Runner-Up at 2024 Landmark Conference Outdoor Championship; King Selected as Field Performer of the Year

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's outdoor track & field team finished as the runner-up at the 2024 Landmark Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Elizabethtown College as the Greyhounds scored 151 points to conclude the meet Sunday.

Major Award Winner

  • Graduate student Tim King was selected as the 2024 Landmark Conference Outdoor Field Performer of the Year after scoring 22 points with a win in the hammer throw on Saturday and third place finishes in the shot put and discus

Moravian Event Winners

  • Sophomore Jerome Luckey won the high jump with an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying height of 1.99 meters (6-6.25) to score ten points
  • Junior Owen Nahf won the 5,000-meter run with an AARTFC qualifying time of 15:10.21 to garner ten points

Moravian Top 8 Finishers

  • Senior Jeremy Goll was the runner-up in the shot put with a PR toss of 14.06 meters (46-1.50 to earn eight points while King was third at 14.02 meters (46-0) to score six points and freshman Anthony Morillo took seventh at 12.71 meters (41-8.5) for two points
  • Freshman Javon McKay finished third in the finals of the 100-meter dash in an AARTFC qualifying time of 10.96 seconds to garner six points while sophomore Jacob Fenstermaker placed sixth in a time of 11.10 seconds for three points
  • Graduate student Christian Jancsarics took third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:55.59 to score six points while junior Jake Farrell placed fourth in 10:00.37 for five points and freshman Gavin Hefferan finished sixth in a PR time of 10:18.02 to garner three points
  • Junior Nathan Hajel was third in the 5,000-meter run in a time of 15:19.22 to score six points while senior Josh Mangini took seventh in 15:41.83 to score two points
  • King placed third in the discus with a toss of 42.85 meters (140-7) for six points while Morillo finished fourth at 41.25 meters (135-4) to garner five points
  • The Hounds' 4x100-meter relay squad of McKay, Fenstermaker and juniors Trevor Gray and Owen Sabastro took third in an AARTFC qualifying time of 41.77 seconds for six points
  • McKay placed fourth in the finals of the 200-meter dash in 22.36 seconds for five points
  • Sophomore Bryan Kerchner finished fourth in the 800-meter run with a PR and AARTFC qualifying time of 1:54.96 to garner five points while senior Casey Frank took fifth in a PR and AARTFC qualifying time of 1:55.35 to score four points
  • Sophomore Liam Maguire took fifth in the 400-meter hurdles in a PR time of 58.01 seconds to earn four points while junior Jason Gartner was eighth in 58.75 seconds to garner one point
  • Moravian's 4x400-meter relay team of Gray, Gagner, senior Matt Shea and freshman Damian De Los Santos Suriel finished fifth in a time of 3:31.69 to score four points
  • Maguire placed sixth in the 110-meter high hurdles in a PR time of 16.44 seconds to garner three points
  • Freshman Jordan Gagner finished eighth in the 400-meter dash with a PR time of 51.94 seconds to earn a point
