Bull Selected as Landmark Conference Baseball Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior third baseman Alex Bull has been named the Landmark Conference Baseball Athlete of the Week for his performance over the last week.

Bull helped the Greyhounds to a 5-0 record last week including a three-game series sweep of The Catholic University of America to begin Landmark Conference action. Bull hit safely in all five games with a .533 average while going 8-for-15 from the plate. He added five runs scored, six RBIs, two doubles and a pair of solo home runs in the first two games against Catholic. Bull had a 1.067 slugging percentage for the week, and he also added three walks for a .579 on-base percentage and a sacrifice fly.

"Alex had a great week. He has been working hard and it is paying off for him. His offensive contributions were a huge reason for our team success," commented Head Coach Paul Engelhardt. "He'd be the first to tell you he needs to work on some things for his game to improve, and I feel that is where his senior leadership has helped us here. Alex is deserving of this weekly award, and I hope he continues with his successes."

The Greyhounds, 9-6 overall and 3-0 in Landmark Conference action, are scheduled to return to action on Thursday, March 24 when the Blue and Grey host Montclair State University in a non-conference game at Gillespie Field with first pitch slated for 4:00 p.m.
