SCRANTON, Pa. --- Moravian College senior third baseman Alex Bull became the 31st Greyhound baseball player to reach 100 career hits and the third this season to reach the milestone; however, the Hounds fell to host The University of Scranton, 7-1, in the final game of a Landmark Conference series Thursday afternoon.

Bull had six of Moravian's hits in the game with a 3-for-3 performance at the plate with a double and a home run, and he reached the 100-hit milestone in the third inning with an infield single. Bull joins seniors Charles Savite and Mike Roethke and junior Anthony Gaetaniello in the 100-hit club with Roethke and Gaetaniello reaching the milestone earlier this season.

Bull gave Moravian a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning when he led off the frame with a solo home run to left field, his third homer of the season.

Scranton scored four unearned runs in the fifth inning to take the lead, and the Royals added three more runs in the eighth inning with all seven runs scoring on three home runs by Scranton.

Sophomore Ryan Kahn started on the mound for the Greyhounds, and he tossed seven innings with four unearned runs on four hits and three walks to go with eight strikeouts. Senior Anthony Martino tossed two-thirds of an inning with two runs on two hits to go with a pair of strikeouts while senior Tommy Natale-Drown pitched the final third of an inning, allowing one run on one hit.

Moravian, now 10-10 overall and 4-2 in Landmark Conference action, is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 2 in a Landmark Conference doubleheader at Elizabethtown College beginning at 1:00 p.m. as the two squads open their three-game weekend series.
