Men's Basketball Falls to Catholic in Landmark Action

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's basketball team dropped a 78-38 decision to The Catholic University of America in Landmark Conference action Saturday afternoon in Johnston Hall.

Senior guard Izel Dickerson paced the Greyhounds with seven points to go with four rebounds while junior guard Jarrod Dilts tossed in six points on a pair of three-pointers and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds, tying his career high. Sophomore forward Brandon McGuire and sophomore guard Sean Hanna each had five points with McGuire adding six rebounds for the Hounds.

Freshman guard Khalil Rhett contributed four points for Moravian while senior forward Garrett Kashmer pulled down three rebounds. Junior forward Ryan O'Neil added a pair of blocked shots for the Greyhounds while freshman guard Jack Aussenheimer contributed two rebounds.

Kashmer scored on the Hounds' first shot of the game to tie the score at 2-2 before the Cardinals ran off eight straight points. Moravian cut the deficit back to four points at 17-13 with 10:46 left in the first half after a three-pointer from Dilts. However, the Greyhounds were limited to just six points the rest of the half while Catholic, which remained undefeated in Landmark action, headed to the locker room with a 34-19 halftime lead.

Moravian is slated to return to action on Wednesday, February 4 when they host The University of Scranton in another Landmark Conference contest in Johnston Hall with tip-off set for 7:00 p.m.
