Hounds Play to Scoreless Draw at Montclair State to Remain Unbeaten

MONTCLAIR, N.J. --- The Moravian College men's soccer team played to a scoreless 0-0, double-overtime draw in non-conference action at Montclair State University Wednesday evening.

The Greyhounds, who remained unbeaten on the season at 4-0-1, would get 12 shots off with three opportunities coming in the opening 10 minutes off the feet of sophomore midfielder Dylan Evande and two by freshman forward Ethan Blakely. The Blue and Grey would get another three shots in the first half with a header by senior midfielder Connor Phillips in the 26th minute but ended with a scoreless first half.

Moravian finished regulation tied with the Red Hawks on shots taken with nine each but could not manage to find the back of the net. The Hounds would get three more shots combined between both overtime period, Evande and Blakely each getting another opportunity while senior midfielder William Demmel in the 99th minute that was wide of the net. The Greyhounds would end the night tied 2-2 in shots on goal, and leading 15-10 on total shots.

Hounds' senior goalie Bryan Yaskowski made two saves, one in each half of regulation.

Moravian is slated to return to action on Saturday, September 16 in a non-conference match on John Makuvek Field against Berkeley (N.Y.) College starting at 7:00 p.m.
