Senior Alexandra Blair Honored as ECAC Division III South Women's Basketball Player of the Week

CAP COD, Mass. --- Senior forward Alexandra Blair (Easton, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic HS) has been honored as the ECAC Division III South Women's Basketball Player of the Week announced late Tuesday for her performance last week.

Blair, who was also named the Landmark Conference Player of the Week and earned a spot on the D3hoops.com Team of the Week presented by Scoutware, averaged a double-double last week as the Greyhounds went 2-1, winning both Landmark games. She had a high of 20 points in a non-conference, two-point loss to Eastern University. She brought down a high of 17 rebounds against USMMA. On the week, Blair averaged 16.7 points, 10.3 boards and 2.7 blocks per game while shooting 61-percent from the field for the week.

On the season, Blair is averaging 14.2 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game to go with her 37 assists and 14 steals. She has also moved into tenth place in career rebounds at 599, and she is the school's record holder with 271 career blocked shots.  Blair also earned ECAC Division III South Player of the Week honors back on December 14th after recording the first triple-double in school history on December 6th.

Moravian hits the road this weekend for two conference battles, first against Juniata College on Friday, January 20th at 7:30 p.m. The second contest is versus Susquehanna University on Saturday, January 21st at 4 p.m.
