Women's Basketball Hosting Pink Zone Clinic on Monday, January 30th

BETHLEHEM, PA --- The Moravian College women's basketball team will be hosting a Pink Zone Clinic on Monday, January 30th from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Johnston Hall for youth basketball players in grades 2 through 12.

The program is asking for a $5 donation from all participants with the proceeds going directly into the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. For more information on both events, contact the women's basketball office by phone at (610) 861-1424 or by email at womensbasketball@moravian.edu.

The clinic is a kickoff to Moravian's "Pink Out" week that also includes members of the coaching staff working as guest bartenders at Starters Riverport on Tuesday, January 31st from 7 to 9 p.m. with all tips during the time going to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Click here for a flyer to dine and donate at Starters Riverport through February 29th.

On Saturday, February 4, the Greyhounds host Juniata College in a Landmark Conference game in Johnston Hall at 2 p.m. in the annual Play 4Kay game with Moravian wearing pink uniforms. Play 4Kay was established by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) to honor the late Kay Yow, Hall of Fame Basketball Coach from North Carolina State University, who passed away from breast cancer in 2009.

In each of the last two years, Moravian has been the top NCAA Division III team in raising funds for the WBCA and Kay Yow Cancer Fund, and the program was second in 2009. Moravian raised $5,825 in 2011 after a total of $6,100 in 2010 and $5,200 raised in 2009.
