WINTER PARK, Fla. --- The Moravian College women's lacrosse squad dropped a 22-12 match at NCAA Division II Rollins University, ranked eighth in Division II in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Top 25 Poll, Tuesday evening.

The Greyhounds, now 2-1 this season, have five different goal scorers led by junior attack Liz Bill, who had four goal and a pair of draw controls. Senior attack Jillian Picciuto contributed three goals, an assist and eight draw controls while freshman midfielder Lindsey Strohl netted a hat trick to go with three draw controls. Sophomore midfielder Meaghan McMullan and sophomore attack Danielle Sullivan each scored once, and McMullan had three draw controls.

Senior goalie Kelley Gavin recorded four save in 38 minutes of action while sophomore goalie Courtney Heist also had four save in 22 minutes in goal.

Rollins scored the first two goal of the match before McMullan put the Hounds on the scoreboard six and a half minutes into action. The Tars tallied five straight goals for a 7-1 lead. Strohl netted a goal at the 14:14 mark and Bill scored just over two minutes later as Moravian trailed 8-3 with 12 minutes left in the half. Rollins netted six more goals before Picciuto scored with a second left in the half to send the teams to the intermission with the Tars leading 14-4.

Bill opened the scoring in the second half with a pair of goals 16 seconds apart in the first 1:17 of the half, and Strohl scored a minute later the Moravian cut the deficit to 14-7. Rollins answered with three straight goals to push its advantage back to 10, and the edge would not drop below nine goals again.

The Greyhounds are slated to return to action on Tuesday, March 12 when the squad hosts Alvernia University in a non-conference match beginning at 4:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field in Bethlehem.
