Meaghan McMullan Selected as Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College sophomore midfielder Meaghan McMullan has been selected as the Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

McMullan, who earned her second Landmark Conference accolade of the spring, helped Moravian to a 2-0 record with 21 points in two matches as she reached 100 career goals. McMullan had 17 goals, four assists, two ground balls, one draw control and one caused turnover during the week. She had six goals and three assists with one draw control in an 18-17 victory over FDU-Florham in non-conference action. McMullan then scored a school record 11 goals including the 100th of her career with her first of the match in a 23-15 Landmark Conference win over Drew University. She also had an assist, two ground balls and a caused turnover in the contest.

"I'm so proud of the performance Meaghan had last week in both of our matches," commented Head Coach Kristen Nicholson. "She has truly begun to set herself apart as a dominant force on the attacking end of the field. Even when she's facing a shut off defensive set, she finds her way to cage. I'm looking forward to the rest of our season and to watch Meaghan push the limits."

The Hounds are slated to return to action on Thursday, April 25 in the squad's final non-conference match of the year at St. Joseph's (L.I.) College beginning at 5:30 p.m.
